Clermont is known for its athletic facilities, starting with the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center. This 69,000-square-foot recreation center offers a black box theatre, performance hall, pool, multiple gym courts, such as tennis, basketball, and pickleball, and plenty of recreational classes and activities for the whole family.
Like many parts of Florida, golf is a beloved pastime in Clermont. There are several courses to choose from including the highly-rated Legends Golf Course. Legends is a semi-private 18-hole course designed by Lloyd Clifton. With perfectly manicured greens and lovely Florida scenery, this golf course will challenge and delight any golf enthusiast. Additional outdoor pursuits include the Lake County Disc Golf Trail. This disc golf trail is one of the longest in Florida and features facilities, and a shaded, scenic trail.
The Clermont Performing Arts Center has a wide variety of performances, such as comedy, live music, special events, and shows. With a 1,200-seat main stage and a black box theatre and rehearsal space, this large theater offers exciting shows and views of the 45-acre property set along Clermont’s rolling hills.
